I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
